For those of you curious to see what a welt brought about by a direct close-range paintball hit looks like. Sadly, this picture doesn't really do justice to the nuanced interplay of purple and yellow.
At the same time, this is definitely the worst of my bruises and it doesn't really hurt (unless I poke it, which I occasionally do to see if it still hurts if I poke it... yep, still does). Most of the lingering pain is simply a result of me getting some actual exercise for once.
