I like that little "ear (2-8)" notation above, with the first parenthesis thickened a bit. As if you would not know -e-x-ac-t-ly- when the ear shift ended...'Hmm, if I don't note that it's two to EIGHT, I might forget and stay dressed in the costume ALL NIGHT. I'd better write that down. [makes notation] There now. Ear from 2-8.' [closes calendar book, pondering the fact that in a week, it will be the start of winter, the longest night of the year...] --VM--
