Uh... now what?

Yep. That's it. (although, at some point, if something presents itself, there will probably be some kind of epilogue post, for the sake of symmetry.) Thanks for reading and thanks for commenting.

I'm looking forward to taking some time off, but I'm sure I'll eventually start another "Year" of something (don't know what yet) and when I do, I'll be sure to post a link here.

Until then, keep in touch.

arnie,
i've been a lurker for a while now, but sadly i came into the blog when you were just finishing up. i thought the idea for it was simply fantastic and am interested in what the "next year" will be. good luck to you!

I was thinking about starting a petition for you to keep the site going, but it sounds like when you're ready you will start again. You're too good not to.

How about "A year without the Girl"? (if she indeed moves East). Or maybe "An unidentified amount of time before Arnie gets married"? (assuming that you want to get married at some point)

Or, "Arnie: The Blog"
Or, "Arnie: The Photoblog"

Hi Arnie,

It's Kathy from work. Hope you don't mind me being a mild mannered co-worker by day, blog-lurker by night...but I just wanted to say how much I've enjoyed reading this over the past few months, and say what a good writer and "photoblogger" you are. Thanks.

Thanks Arnie. I had a breakup of my own right about the same time (I remember your announcement at the 505) and the blog really helped. Beyond that, it was just a terrific read. I look forward to the next one.

Good stuff, Arnie.
been there, lived that.
It was like reading your own diary and can't remember who wrote it.
thanks-

That Kathy chick is HAWT!

Also, your blog is hawt.

As are peppers.

And Hell.

Hey Arnie,

Friend of a friend here. Just wanted to say how impressed I've been both by this project and by your commitment to it. I've been both amused and moved (and both at the same time, amoved, maybe).

Thanks for sharing with all of us.

When I come to Chicago in September, improv will be a must...in addition to the wedding. Its a wondeful life. Thanks.

I want to add my thank you to this growing list.

I found your blog at random by clicking "next blog" last September. I read all previous posts in one night, and then subscribed.

I would like to encourage you to continue blogging! This was one of the best reads I've had all year, and I don't even know you!

Your blog was funny, poetic, and broke my heart a few times over.

Thank you for sharing.

SAD that it has all come to an end.

So we don't get the big reveal as to who the girl is at the end? Hmmm... I dunno, I'm a little disappointed, it's a little anti-climactic. Ah well, here's to the next "Year Of" whatever that comes along.

Peace
g

Over the past two days, I have read the year following the breakup. It was wonderfully entertaining and engaging. Thank you.

I'm so sad to see this blog end, but can't wait to see what comes next! :)

thanks for the good laughs over the year. strangers are awesome to internet "stalk", you kept my interest. thanks again!

I'll miss this blog. Start another one soon, please.

Arnie,

I stumbled upon your blog today from a kid I friended a few years back named Mac who was plugging his friends blog "Ramble, Ramble" and this friend mentioned in some post that your blog was ending. I took the whole day to read it and I don't feel as though I've "wasted" time. What a beautiful thing to do, the pictures, the people, the stories and the quotes/dialogue. Sometimes people are so pessimistic /negative about life in blogs (I know I am) that its hard to read. But I found yours uplifting, even with the sad bits, it brought me to realise that maybe there IS something to relationships. Good luck in the present and the future, thank you for sharing with me.

I just came across this blog today, and wanted to tell you that I love the concept behind it. Thanks for sharing!

I recently broke up with my boyfriend of five years. Reading about other people's experiences really helped me, and writing about my own has been rather therapeutic. Check it out, if you'd like: http://projectbreakingupwards.blogspot.com/

I look forward to your next year of photos!
